Privacy Policy
Humora is a mood journal, and your feelings are yours. We built Humora so that we never see your journal. This policy explains what that means in practice. "We" means Shaun Colver, the seller of Humora.
The short version
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics, no ads and no tracking. Humora contains no third-party code that collects data.
- Your entries are stored on your devices. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are stored in your own private iCloud, which we cannot access.
- We do not collect, see, sell or share your data.
What stays on your devices
Everything you put into Humora stays on your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch: the humors you log, how strong they were, what shaped them, your notes, your goals, your reminders and your settings. Your Apple Watch passes the entries you log there to your iPhone directly. Humora's widgets read a small summary that is stored on the same device.
Notes are read on your device to power features like note insights. They are never sent to us or anyone else.
iCloud sync (optional, off by default)
If you turn on "Sync with iCloud" in Settings, your entries are copied to your own private iCloud database so they appear on your other devices. Apple stores this data under your Apple Account. We cannot read it. Apple's own privacy policy covers iCloud. You can turn sync off at any time in Humora's Settings, and you can delete Humora's iCloud data in your device's iCloud storage settings.
Purchases
Humora Pro and Humora Forever are bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles your payment. We never receive your name, card details or Apple Account details. Apple provides us with general sales reports, as it does for every app.
Face ID, Touch ID and your passcode
If you turn on "Lock Humora," your device's own Face ID, Touch ID or passcode check is used. Humora only learns whether the check passed. It never sees or stores your face, fingerprint or passcode.
Siri, Shortcuts and reminders
If you ask Siri to log a mood, Siri handles your request under Apple's privacy policy, then Humora saves the entry on your device. Reminders are scheduled on your device. Humora sends no notifications from a server.
Photos, sharing, export and import
- Humora adds a picture to your Photos only when you choose Save Image. It never reads your photo library.
- Pictures and your shareable PDF summary leave Humora only when you choose to share or save them, and they go only where you send them.
- If you import a spreadsheet, Humora reads the file you pick, on your device.
Contacting us
If you email us at support@humoraapp.com, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
Deleting your data
You can delete any entry in the app. Deleting Humora from your device deletes the journal stored on it. If you used iCloud sync, delete Humora's data in your device's iCloud storage settings as well. Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Children
Humora is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If Humora ever starts collecting data, we will say so here, in the app and on the App Store before it happens.
